Dear Sir, Me and my employer contributed Rs.53,000.00/- each towards NPS, my query is whether employers contribution is allowed for deduction? I hear that employers contribution should be added to the gross salary and deduct the same u/s 80CCD(2); then there is no effect of deduction... Please clarify.

Contribution made by employer under section 80CCD (2) firstly included in salary of the employee in previous year in which that contribution is made by the employer.
