Education loan for aborad

Good Morning
I want to ask if the loan is taken from bank for education in Aboard in the name of student and interest is paid by his mother from her bank account, the Deduction u/s 80 u is applicable for his mother while computing her Income.

Interest on education loan is eligible for deduction upto 8 years u/s 80E
