13 May 2018 The main purpose of introducing e-way bill is to curb the tax evasion. Few modes of tax evasion are as below:
1. Providing fake invoices without actual movement of goods to enable the recipient to avail input tax credit.
2. Providing goods but not declaring the sales in the returns.
