17 February 2012 My understanding is that E Sugam is currently in vogue in Karnataka. A consignment for us to Kerala is now not being accepted by the transporter in Haryana because we are not able to furnish the E sugam form.
Our sales tax office has no clue about this initiative.

Would e sugam apply to consignments that pass through Karnataka as well, and is that why we are stuck?

17 February 2012 Mr.Tomy Mathew,

In Karnataka E sugam shall be required to be generated for the purpose of buying and selling of certain goods and its movement ONLY FOR REGISTERED DEALER IN KARNATAKA.

However in case of the goods are just passing from the state of karnataka to another state.. you shall require to obtain a transit pass in the form of e suvega..
