29 May 2010 Can anyone plz quote any information from govt. stating that Donation to UNICEF is exempt under income tax act.

30 May 2010 No its not allowed... Section 80 is specifically created for benefit provided for Country..
There are some instituions who are involved in the activites supporting UNICEF.. if donations are made through them, than 80g will be allowed..
