08 February 2009 PLS TELL ME WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WORD "TAX AND DUTY".

BECAUSE IN BOTH THE CASES WE HAVE TO PAY THE TAX TO GOVERNMENT.

08 February 2009 Tax:Levied by the Government on personal income and Business profitor added to the cost of some goods ,Service & Transactions.

Duty: Payment levied on the Import, Exports, Manufacture,or Sale of Goods. a payment levied on the transfer of property, for Licence,and for the legal recognition of document.
