Our church, basically a Syrian Jacobite church, want to start an educational institution. The administrative powers of the church rest with the general council, where all male members of the church are members.The general council meets once in a year and elects the managing committee, which runs the church for an year. So we would like to know that, is it better to form a charitable society under the church to run the proposed educational institution or should we form a charitable trust to run it. Looking for an advise...please..
