Please explain me how bank fixes deposit rates for different buckets.

25 June 2010 It is the business call. If you see to attract they use to keep higher rates for different slabs, different groups. Ex- Senior citizens will get slightly higher rate 0.25% than the normal. In general Treasury Department of the bank will decide the rates depending on the funds position of bank, their likely out gos( loan disbursement), Market scenario etc.,
