Can owner take deduction u/s 80C regarding principal repaid towards housing loan, for a let out property?

Is there any recent amendment made restricting to claim for principal loan repayment deduction u/s 80c for Let Out Property?

21 January 2016 An owner can claim deduction in respect of such residential house property , the income of of which is chargeable under the head Income From House Property. Hence you can claim deduction U/s 80C. There is no other specific recent change .
