14 October 2014 Dear experts.

I have a query on Practice to deduct PF (Employer's) Contribution from Employees salary.

In short i am referring to scenario. where Employer deducts PF at 12% - Employees Share + 13.61% Employer Share from Employees Salary and pay PF.

does PF Act allows such thing.

I believe so that this is not right, can some one please provide me insight on this process.

14 October 2014 Hi

PF does not allow such things nor its legally allowed.

Employer is required to contribute its own share from its own pocket & not to deduct from the employees gross salary.

However employer can show same amount as pert of employee's CTC

Thanks
