Dear Sir/Madam , I am a businessman and running my office in 1 out of 3 rooms of my residence.The electricity bill comes in my father,s name.Can i claim proportionate one-third amount of electricity bill in my business.I have no agreement regarding it with my father but i do mention the address of this office in my bill.

In my opinion, its better, if you make an agreement with your father for proportion of expenses to be born by you. It will be a stronger evidence in your favour.
