20 November 2011 My friends case is fixed u/s 143(2) of the Act. as some AIR reports have mentioned that he has deposited some 30 lakhs in a savings account during the year which is un accountable. Can he declare his income during the proceedings of the case and pay only income tax and avoid penalty by any chance.
