04 October 2011 Dear Sir,

A manufacturing company of PVC Granules wants to sell other plastic goods including PVC granules, which he is not manufacturing. The traded items can be excisable and non excisable. Please suggest what should we do? Whether we take dealer registration under central excise or issue excisable bills under manufacturing registration and issue commercial/Tax invoice for non excisable goods. Please suggest me.

Thanks in advance.

04 October 2011 a separate storage place is needed for such activity, which would not mix up with manufacturing inputs.

dealer registration is a better option to deal with trading items, as you have mentioned that you are manufacturing plastic granules, and also want to sale the similer items by trading,

under any visit excise officer would account the store of trading items under manufacture, if separate place of storage with supporting documents and registers are not maintained at place.

04 October 2011 you should have registration for all the material which you sell. Hence you have add the additional goods in the list of goods in vat registration.
