Cs with llb

This query is : Resolved

20 May 2014 I am pursuing cs(executive), I want to know should I go for LLB regular, as I am already 22 yrs old. Should I opt for it or any other course or only continue with CS now?? Also I want to know abt the scope of CS, can it secure me a good job?? Because ther are some changes after coming of companies act,2013???

20 May 2014 Yes you should opt for LLB Regular. LLB will make very good combination with CS. Scope of CS Profession has not diminished. If only it has increased after enactment of Companies Act 2013. We should not look much into rules. The scope has improved and CS will continue to gain more recognition. In CS we should look to explore areas like Taxation and Finance and should not restrict ourself to only secretarial matter.

Do not worry about scope rather focus on getting expertise in your subject. If you can do that there will no dearth of opportunities for you.

21 May 2014 thanx for the prompt reply Sanjay sir.. Bt as u r telling to emphasize more on finance and taxation, then shouldn't an MBA in finance will be a better option rather than LLB???

21 May 2014 In CS itself you have studies Accounts, Finance, Cost & Taxation. So in my view you should opt for LLB. Later after completing CS you can also enrol for CMA. After CS you will get direct admission in CMA Inter and will also get exemption in some papers of Inter as well as Final.

Its my advice final decision should be yours based on your goals.

21 May 2014 Thanx sir... For clearing my doubts.... Will definitely enrol for llb...

01 June 2014 I would also second the opinion of learned expert.

As per my suggestion with CS you should go for LL.B. to grab top opportunities at management level. LL.B. is a very good combination with CS as far as course content and understanding the corporate environment is concerned.

If you are having LL.B. qualification then it would be counted as an additional advantage and you can easily and confidently handle or administer Legal work/department along with the secretarial work/department. Later on you may be designated as legal and secretarial head.

This advice is based on my professional experience. Hope this would be off some help. Other courses are also good. But my vote goes for LL.B.

Best Regards

02 June 2014 Thanx ankur sir for ur valuable advice... Will work on it....
