In this u can find the exemption details.

20 July 2024 If a student has completed IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course) under the Chartered Accountancy (CA) program and the articleship training associated with it, they may be eligible for exemptions from certain subjects or modules in the Company Secretary (CS) course conducted by ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India). Here are the typical exemptions granted and conditions:

### Exemptions for CA Students:

1. **IPCC Passed (Both Groups)**:
- A CA student who has cleared both groups of IPCC is eligible for exemptions from the following CS subjects:
- Executive Programme Module I: General and Commercial Laws (GCL)
- Executive Programme Module II: Company Accounts and Auditing Practices (CAAP)
- Professional Programme Module I: Advanced Company Law and Practice (ACLP)

2. **Articleship Completed**:
- Completion of articleship under the CA program may provide exemptions from practical training (articleship) requirements in the CS course, subject to verification by ICSI.

### Conditions for Exemptions:

- **Verification**: ICSI may require CA students to submit proof of passing IPCC and completion of articleship (such as certificates from ICAI).

- **Application for Exemption**: Students need to apply for exemptions through ICSI's exemption application process, providing necessary documents and paying the applicable fee.

- **Validity**: Exemptions granted by ICSI are typically valid for a specified period. It's important to check with ICSI regarding the specific validity period of exemptions.

### How to Apply for Exemptions:

- **Contact ICSI**: Reach out to ICSI's student services or visit their official website to understand the exemption process and obtain the necessary forms.

- **Submit Documents**: Submit copies of IPCC pass certificates, articleship completion certificate, and any other required documents as specified by ICSI.

- **Pay Fee**: Pay the exemption fee as per the fee structure provided by ICSI.

### Conclusion:

While CA students with IPCC and articleship training may be eligible for exemptions from certain subjects and practical training in the CS course, the specifics can vary. It's recommended to directly contact ICSI for precise guidance on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and any recent updates regarding exemptions for CA students. This ensures accurate and updated information tailored to individual circumstances.
