i have registered for the cs executive program via online and got the registration number 2-3 weeks back. but till now i didn't get my study materials for the said course. when enquired in the nearest cs chapter, they said the books will come. they also said since i have registered online i will get the books by post and not through chapter.
what should i do to get my study materials? please advice...

Friend I would advise you to wait for some more time since you had a chat with officials. Yup through courier it will take some time. Keep it touch with ICSI officials.
If possible visit your nearest chapter personally with regn details.
