08 April 2009 can i take credit of service tax on consultancy charges for acqire of land with agreement with a C.A. service tax amount is approx 50lacs.

Is it treated service tax on capital goods

we take service on dec but my registration on service tax is on april.

09 April 2009 i purchase a land of 40cr on which i paid consulancy charges of rs 4 cr for aquiring landwith agreement.

my q is that can i take service tax credit on consultancy charges.

is it treat as capital goods on service tax or no

11 April 2009 Yes, you can take but it requires more clarity in this regard such as why you are buying land for what purpose, etc. Further, it is not a capital goods on serive tax.
