In an unbalanced profit maximization transportation problem, do we balance the matrix first and then convert it to an opportunity cost matrix, or do we convert it first and then balance it?

First balance the transportation problem and then convert the transportation problem from the profit matrix to loss matrix.

Thank you Sir. I had actually come across two similar problems, each one solved using a different method. So i was a little confused as to which method BOS recommends.
