Hi, What are the expenses that are allowable to a person who is rendering the consultancy services on his own name without any registered name for his business. can he claim telephone bills and travelling bills as deduction from business income though they are on his own name

Yes. Doing Consultancy services in own name, the expenses related to the particular consultancy services can be claimed, Telephone & traveling expenses related to that services can be claimed
