Communication on arrear demand

01 October 2014 my client has received an letter from cpc mentioning communication on arrear demand..and also mention in it that i may be a intimation u/s-245 what can i do now? is he have to paid the demand amount? pls help me

01 October 2014 then pay the amount demanded if u agree to it.

01 October 2014 Section 245 refers to adjustment of past tax demands against tax refund due. Intimation under section 245 is to inform the assessee of the adjustment being made.

04 October 2014 but in letter the subject is communication of arrear demand and the assessee never have any refund amount then how is it possible and what is the remedy..is demand amount he have to pay
