Is it necessary to charge service tax by a small service provider after service tax registration even though his gross t/o is below 10 lakh?
what if he charge and pay service tax on some invoices and not on the rest till his t/o is below 10 lakh

If turnover is less than Rs 10 lakhs in previous year the enjoy benefit of SSI in current year.
No need collect or pay service tax eventhough registration is taken. However, file NIL return.
Ans. 2 If service tax is charged then such practice needs to be followed in all invoices.
