I'm appearing for CA final may 2014 both groups...I would like to know the major changes in the modules after jan 2011....as i'm having 2011 modules....i would like to know which all modules should i buy in order to be updated with the syllabus...i'm having MP Vijay kumar for A/c's SD Bala for SFM, Munish bhandari for law, Surbhi bansal for audit all the edition are of 2011....i hav d latest in DT nd IDT....so plz kindly tell which all books should i purchase??

27 November 2013 There are not many changes in law for may14,but yes should atleast go through ammendments.For instance ,there is some slight changes in competition act 2002.For law you can just go through past rtps,student journal,icai site to cover up the ammendments.
As far as audit is concerned ,yes there are many new SAs issued after 2011.Infact recently there has been changes in auditors report format also(now independent auditors report).If you are comfortable with techincal language of ICAI then download new material from ICAI's site ,else for simple explaination you should buy new book.
There are some changes in ISCA as well.
Also make sure that in accounts you hold sufficient knowledge of Ind AS,revised norms of NBFCs,banks for treating NPAs,revised schedule vi.
Download latest practice manual & rtps from institute 's site for better preparation.
