13 October 2011 Dear sir,

Company name changed on 2nd may 2011 but financial statements are signed on 28th september 2011.

what should be the company name in financial statements?

13 October 2011 You can put the old name of the company for the purpose of financial statements and give in brackets the new name of the company or viceversa.

Eg:
XYZ Limited (known as ABC Ltd from 02.05.2011)
ABC Ltd (Previously known as XYZ limited)
