CFP or Certified Financial Planer Certification programmes in India are offered mainly by Financial Planning Standards Board India. It is a public-private enterprise and a Professinal Standards Setting body that guides the development and promotion of standards for Financial Planning professionals. FPSB India is the principal licensing body that certifies the CFPCM / AFP Education program in India. It closely works with all the stakeholders viz. the Government, the Regulators, the Industries/Associations, the Corporate, the Media and the General Public to achieve its objectives.
Any one aspiring to become CFPCM /AFP has to register himself with any of the FPSB India's approved Education Providers. However, certain candidates having specified qualifications and work experience have an option of applying through Challenge Status wherein they can challenge the CFPCM Certification Education Programme subject to conditions.
The CFPCM Certification Education Program is conducted by distance learning, e-learning mode and on a full time basis as well.
Each Education Provider (EP) has its own fee structure for the Education Program ranging from Rs.42, 000 to RS. 60,000. (Inclusive of education training, registration fees, courseware, examination etc.) However additional amounts maybe charged for tutorials etc. that may be on a voluntary basis.
