Cenvat credit & depreciation on capital goods

22 August 2012 Sir,
Can Cenvat Credit & Depreciation be availed on the Capital Goods at the same time.

Kindly clarify please

22 August 2012 No, Under Rule 4 (4) of cenvat credit rules,2004 cenvat credit and deprecation can not be allowed on the same capital goods.
