28 September 2011 Is excise duty payable on samples drawn for testing and sent to a quality control laboratory within the factory ?

29 September 2011 excise duty is charged only when they are removed out of the factory from place of removal

29 September 2011 even the goods are withdrawn as samples for testing as the goods are fit to use ans=d ready to be supplied after testing no excise will be charged

29 September 2011 if the good is consumed or damaged in the testing process, excise duty is liable to be paid, but generally, no body reports such consumption for testing
