Yes, this is a fit and challening career for a CA.
You can even reach to MD post in a Bank !
Generally; while reading CA course; most of the students tend to "complete" the chapter of "Accounting for Banking, Insurance and Electiricity Comapnies."
Have a thorough knowledge about the accounting of Banking Companies togetherwith Audit Procedure.
If right now you have no opportunity for Bank Audits; TRY NOW and have a leave for one month only in the month of April, so that you can "plan" for such audit with other audit firms.
At that time most of the articled clerks are one leave and these "allotted" ca firms search for such guys who can help them in bank audits.

With the help of ca students you might get this information so that when they are on leave; they can make arrangement for such audits with their boss.
In you go for in-depth audit i.e. start of account opening norms (KYC) to audit of loans and advances; definitely you will get an edge in bank exams.
While auditing; see carefully the sanction letter issued by the bank and relevant documents signed by the client in favour of the bank.
See the operation of the relevant loan and advance account keeping in mind regular submission of stock details and payment of interest etc.
