what will be the cost of acquisition where the property is inherited by the assessee after 01.04.1981 and please note that the cost to the previous owner is not accountable or identifiable because it is ancestral property. please reply its urgent.

It will be the fair market value of the property at the time of inheritance and indexation will be provided from that year
