On the entire long term capital gain which I had availed exemption in sec 54on invest in new residential property where I sold with in 7 months from the date of purchase 50percent of the above residential property what will be the consequence

In the computation of STCG of the new property 50% of the exemption claimed u/s 54 will be deduction from the cost of acquisition of the new property thereby increasing your STCG.
