Can a partner of ca firm get into permanent employment

Can a person who is Partner with a CA Firm (CA holding full time COP) get into permanent full time employment with a Big4 (Advisory Services - Example: Internal Audit).Please keep in mind that he will not be part of Statutory Audit Department. Does he need to file the form for engagement in other occupation to remain partner without attest functions ?

24 September 2012 a CA cannot do full time employment (regardless of work he does) along with Full time practice....
