03 July 2012 Religious trust/ Charitable trust are registered u/s 25 of the companies Act.

03 July 2012 Since they are non profit organisation and do not use the word "Limited/Pvt Limited" at the end of its name.

03 July 2012 Yes, Mandir/Temple is a religious trust and can be a company u/s 25.

03 July 2012 dear amit section 25 states that if a company is registered u/s 3 of companies act & apply to the CG for registration u/s 25 then only a company can registered under the same section.


03 July 2012 You cannot 'CALL' any trust as company. You have to register it with the Registrar of Companies.

Only then it is given the status of a COMPANY.
