CA Final exam in new scheme for old students

This query is : Resolved

10 January 2023 I have converted in new syllabus & appeared for CA Final exams in old as well as new course. I have also completed my article ship in Sep 2015 & I have also completed 100 hours ITT, GMCS I & GMCS II.

So what will be the treatment for old students in new proposed scheme after conversion

Thanks

06 July 2024 If you have converted to the new syllabus for CA Final and have completed your articleship along with the required ITT (Information Technology Training), GMCS I (General Management and Communication Skills I), and GMCS II (General Management and Communication Skills II) under the old scheme, here’s how your situation is typically handled in the new scheme:

1. Conversion to New Scheme:
• Upon conversion to the new syllabus, you are required to complete the mandatory courses prescribed under the new scheme. These typically include the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) and the Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics (AAPE) course.
2. AICITSS Course:
• Since you have already completed 100 hours of ITT and GMCS I & II under the old scheme, you may need to verify with ICAI if these fulfill the requirements of AICITSS under the new scheme. In most cases, these should be considered sufficient, but it’s best to confirm this with ICAI to ensure compliance.
3. AAPE Course:
• You will need to complete the Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics course under the new scheme. This course focuses on advanced auditing concepts and professional ethics, and it is mandatory for appearing in the CA Final exams under the new syllabus.
4. Transition and Exam Eligibility:
• Once you have completed the necessary courses (AICITSS and AAPE) and fulfilled all other eligibility criteria, you can appear for the CA Final exams under the new syllabus.
