Ca failed, in uk. need advice

This query is : Resolved

26 July 2012 Hi,

I have recently moved to UK. I have appeared for CA final exam in India in May and did not suceed.

Cleared PE-I and PCC (i.e. passed first year and second year).

I am wondering what is the step forward, as regards career in UK. Whether to study for CIMA in UK or try to get ICAEW qualifications via a graduate programme or something else. Need advice in this regard.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Smitha

26 July 2012 As per current market trend no of students going for more then on professional achievements,

yes u can start with either CMA or CPA, same or equivalent as ICAI professional course.

But as u have cleared all most half of your ca path, wuld like to share only that, just complete the CA simultaneously.

26 July 2012 You mean complete the CA in India? As I have moved to UK permanently this would be a difficult proposition.

Regarding completing CA in UK, I suppose I have to start from the scratch, as I will not get any exemptions, as far as I know. Do you know anyone who can guide me in this regard?
