i want to know the following questions
1.what is the due date for payment of excise?
2 what is the lower limit of excise for making e-payment compulsory?
3. how often do we file excise in year?
4. what is the penalty that can be charged for making delay of payment of excise?
5.if input cenvat credit of excise is more than output of the same,can i utilize the excess in next month?

07 July 2010 1. Due date is 5 of next month & 6 for payment thru E-payment
2. E payment is compulsory to who have paid Duty 10 lacs or more (thru PLA + Cenvat)in preceding F.Y.
3 In every month, and If assessee has Opted Scheme of Value base Exemption, they have to file quarterly return.
4. Interest will have to pay @ 13 % P.A.
5. Balance will be your op. bal for next month.
