Bank a/c requirement for vat registration

31 December 2016 I wanted to get VAT registration in Mumbai but the issue is bank account in the name of proprietorship concern is required for that. And for opening a current account in the name of the proprietorship concern VAT registration no. is required. Can I apply for vat registration without having a bank account. Shop License can also work instead of VAT registration no. but the problem is I will be operating the business from my home so there is no shop license. Please guide asap on the matter.
