Is passing IPCC in first attempt necessary to pursue articleship in Big 4?

Thanku so much for the reply... I've passed 2nd group and have secured exemption in Accounts in 1st group in November, 2014 IPCC...now m appearing for May, 2015 IPCC exams to clear the rest 3 papers...so according to you, after that should I try there for articleship? And also any recommendations by anyone working there could be any help?
