Is the name of Firm matters in the life of a CA student? Also, if a student has done his articleship from a small firm then can he take entry in the big firms? Moreover, if any student doesn't get the experience of Audit during his articleship then can he be eligible for entry in big firms? please reply sir i am very frightened about this because everyone says about their exposure of audits of big companies. please reply sir.

yes, it does matter, but that doesnt mean that it is only big firms that matter. there are various examples set forth in this CA Community and hence I can surely say that it matters but your qualification, marks, opportunity and ya reference to matters. Best of Luck !!

I clarified dear, ii didnt mean that, i meant both are equal, typically preference is given to articles from big firms provided contact, qualifications, marks, mobility etc are same of given 2 candidate. you may score good without being working with big firms and therby scoring an edge

the thing is matter is exposure you get during your articleship and level of independence with which you worked
and oterthing that matter is diversified work you have done .i.e. service tax related,income tax,appeal,various audits etc. no matter your firm is big or small your clients are small or big but the learning process should be with involvement and integrety
