06 July 2024 If you have completed your initial articleship on 26th February 2019 and you are now executing Form 107 for excess leave, here are some points to consider:

1. **Gap Period**: Typically, after completing your initial articleship, there shouldn't be a gap before starting your supplementary articleship (extension period training). However, if you are applying for excess leave and have a valid reason for the gap, such as health issues or personal reasons, you can explain this in Form 107.

2. **Execution Timing**: Since you want to begin your supplementary articleship from June 2019, it's important to ensure that Form 107 accurately reflects the timeline and reasons for any gap between your initial articleship and the start of supplementary articleship. The institute may require documentation or justification for any gap period.

3. **Validity and Continuation**: Your supplementary articleship should ideally start as soon as possible after completing your initial articleship. If there is a gap, it should be adequately justified and approved by the institute. Starting your supplementary articleship in June 2019, after a gap from February 2019, may require approval and proper documentation to ensure validity.

4. **Consult Institute Guidelines**: It's crucial to refer to the specific guidelines and regulations of your CA institute regarding the execution of Form 107 and the commencement of supplementary articleship. They will provide clear instructions on how to proceed, including any required documentation or approvals for gap periods.

5. **Approval Process**: Submit Form 107 with all necessary details, explanations, and supporting documents as required by your institute. The institute will review your application and provide guidance on whether the gap can be considered valid and how to proceed with starting your supplementary articleship.

In conclusion, while a gap between articleship periods is generally not encouraged without valid reasons, you can apply for excess leave through Form 107 and seek approval from your CA institute. Ensure all documentation is complete and accurately reflects the timeline and reasons for any gaps. Always follow the institute's guidelines to avoid any complications in your CA training process.
