Applicability of service tax

28 December 2012 ABC company has given a commercial property to Governmental authorities on lease in consideration of rent income. Should ABC company charge Service Tax? The notification no 25/2012 dated 20.06.2012 (list of exempted services) does not cover this kind of service rendered to governmental authorities. So ST must be charged in this case. Please do confirm.

Yes ST to be charged to govt. unless expressly mentioned they are also taxable.
