A Painter was awarded a contract to paint a building @ Rs. 20 per sq feet. This is the contracted amount. In case the painter used paint above a decided quantity, penal recovery of Rs. 4 per sq feet shall be made AS PER CONTRACT. Finally painter was paid Rs. 16 per sq feet.
