27 September 2012 Dear Sir,
If a person rents his two cars to a govt. office @ per km charges.

Whether payment of said transaction is subject to section 194c
or
any other section would applicable for tds deduction.

Please advise me.

Because motor vehicles are considered as plant and machinery for the purpose of income tax. and on renting of plant and machinery, TDS is deducted under sec 194-I .
