The ITR-3 form is applicable to individuals and HUFs who have income from proprietary businesses or professions, along with earnings from salary, capital gains, or other sources. It is particularly relevant for freelancers, consultants, and self-employed professionals who need to report business income.
Deadline for Filing ITR for AY 2024-25
Taxpayers eligible to file ITR-3 should ensure timely submission to avoid penalties. The due date for non-audit cases is July 31, 2024, while audit cases can file until October 31, 2024.
The updated ITR-3 utility is now available for download on the official Income Tax Department website.
