There is a good discussion on the strategy followed by successful and unsuccessful students.

Thanks caclub which provides such a nice platform to discuss.

There are so many  reasons of failure in IPCC, some of them are  :

1. Studying only at the time of examination leaves.

2. Lack of proper guidance.

3. Lack of good co-ordination with other students.

4. Confusing state of mind while studying i.e. without understanding initial chapters or paras; rush to another para.

5. Lack of practice.

6. lack of analytical approach.

7. Ignoring Institute's modules at all.

8. Ignoring Institute's compilations.

9. Lack of mock examination at your own.

10.Lack of confidence.

11. Fear of failure.

12. Lack of proper examination strategy.

Please refer my posts in students section.

The things which are required to qualify CA are:

1. Make subjects interesting.

2. Make reading a pleasure.

3. Don't bother about results.

4. Focus on Learning.

5. Give you opinion after reading a topic and then match it with examples/solved questions.

Wish you all the best.
