Dear Archi, the author of this forum didnt mean that, his point was, topics related to studies, queiries to be given more importance in "popular discussion" window.. as many study related topics go unseen... and regd your post.. for me, its absolutely fine to be posted on CCI.. Have a happy day..:-)

If we keenly observe, we can see Topics from all forums under "popular discussion", means, admn selects top topics not only from others section, but also top topics of all forums, Students, Incometax, Exams,.... Though topics with more replies are shown on main page, but they are picking just one or two from each forum, so there is space for top topics from all forums, So I feel its absolutely no need to worry about that important topics are being neglected.

Looking at your comment we all could know the various existing problems in CCI like absurd postings ec etc.

And you are also very much agreeing that the Admin is not taking due care.

May i know what could be the reason behind this?

May be you have informed them through PM or Through Scrap message.

Thats y i started this thread so that every genuine members can show their concern about this and some fruitful decision will be taken by Admin as happened in my previous post              " Request to Admin".

At the outset, I would thank Arun and all the members, especially Surendra Sir, for sharing their honest ( I take it that way) opinions on the subject of discussion. It is apparent that everyone here loves CCI and they want to perfect it .

 

To my perception, the topic contains two undercurrents of thought :

1. A serious student fails to notice the important study-related topics in the jungle non-study-related trash. S/he, therefore, is losing a great opportunity to improve her/his knowledgebase.

2. There is a need to change this equation - High viewers = Popular Discussion in CCI.

 

 

From the main points of discussion, it also seems to me that THE MOST IMPORTANT part of CCI is THE FORUM section. Please consider the following banner :

Let us suppose, that there is a new SERIOUS entrant who, like the Arjuna of Mahabharata [ that serious student will know about his qualities only if it was in his academic syllabus, till studied ] can see his Goal ( CA,CS,CMA,MBA or any such Professional course ) and nothing else.

 

 

Now, let us think, - what is the probability that this live-for-studies-die-for-studies student will look beyond the Experts sec., Articles Sec., Files Sec. and all those other sections that deals with study related things? Surely enough, s/he will give a cursory look at the Forum Section as well, because that's a problem of human nature ( assuming that our model student is a HUMAN being ). But he will surely reject this section seeing that it mostly contains non-study-related trash.

 

 

If s/he becomes regular to CCI and finds that in the jungle of trash infested Forum section, there comes some occasional study-worthy topic, then her/his prudence would guide him to use the Search button for her/his topic of interest OR s/he would eye through the Forum section and the Popular Discussion section and notice if there is anything that may make her/him more erudite.

 

 

So, we may safely conclude that a serious student will never get distracted by unwanted hindrances towards her/his motivated, goal-oriented endeavour. God bless her. God bless him.

 

For the lesser mortals, who indulge in time-killing endeavours like frequenting the Forum Section and looking for a top place in the Popular Discussion tab, it may be said that it is their choice. CCI has got aplenty from where a mature student ( we are, to some extent mature. Aren't we?) can benefit. Can Admin or anyone force a member to do what s/he chooses to do?

 

 

For long, we have been socialised to be policed in the case of decision making. That's why, here I find the onus of making things straight has been laid upon the Admin - here the controlling authority. Why can't we make independent choice and reject what seems nothing else than rubbish - if there is one.

 

 

So long as the word POPLULAR is retained, topics that interests most will find a place in it - that may or may not be connected with academics.

 

At any event, motivated students like you, Dear Arun, should not have wasted so much of your time for this topic. Ankur Ji ( Both A.Garg and A.Pandey), Surendra Sir and others who have reached their goals can debate over topics like this. But you are in the CA Finals !!! Don't let your concentration get distracted by such triffles. Put all your energy into making your future as glorious as possible.

I want to know onething  whether we have freedom to post our opinion are not ? I thing in CCI it is not . Because i had one private message from Karan Teli to Scold me bcoz that I post my opinion what i feel.

Every one is look other as Friends. But i think Karan Teli is looking me as enemy. Thats why he is using so much of words on me.

I feel hurt . Anyway I  say sorry to him and all.

Now Arun Ji how can you say that…… the concept of selecting the topic for the popular discussion based on the number of replies needs to be avoided when nobody here is following this concept as 2/3 of the popular discussions are listed above contain only 2 to 4 replies. With 7.7 lacs members 4-5 replies to the post are quite less…am I right ?

 

 

Now let me tell you these posts are here bcoz of their utility judged by Admin. You can see this kind of situation on daily basis. Just bcoz of this reason I am with Admin. You guys have lot of things to be observed regarding the activities of Admin here. There are lots of angels running a website successfully. CCI is a social as well as a commercial activity.

 

More than 85% stuff here in CCI is dedicated to study, professional updates, Experts connectivity. Kindly appreciate that. Avoid other forum activities and engage yourself in:

 

1. Reading Articles, News and updates
2. Sharing useful files
3. Helping students in expert sections
4. Helping Students in the Forum by posting replies to their queries.

 

Once you indulge in these activities, you won’t find time for other activities bcoz CCI is full of students looking for right guidance.

 

Members may come and members may go but CCI will go on forever. So stop pressurizing Admin without detailed analysis and observation.

Agree with Harini dee...its an automatic system and we cannot say that important topics are being neglected. CCI is a platform where we can search for our related topics very easily. Member who knows it will find it any way.

And also topics other than academics and study related help students to get motivated, they too are as important as studies.

No one should be pinpointed and write the name of the person for posting in the Forum. Its doesnt go parellel with Ethics in Communicting your views.
