I am here seeking some expert advise on my current situation. My former CA happened to be highly unprofessional and has left both me and my company in very bad shape.
Ex: I had made TDS remittance to the govt however he forgot to file it and I have a notice of 32,000 INR now from the govt. He mislead me and my partners in terms of personal tax filing and that has lead to a loss of over 80,000 INR.
I am contemplating filing a case against this CA. I found this link http://www.icai.org/post.html?post_id=5729
Now I want you advise. Should I file a complaint against this CA? Is it effective? Is there anyone who can help me do it and ensure he is penalised for his unprofessionalism?

I think you should take up this task, in the larger interest of society. Keep in mind that it is a SLOW process. It might take more than a year or so to finally get the decision by the council. You can get the services of another CA for filing such a complaint. Even you can appoint a CA to represent you before COUNCIL of ICAI.
