This query is : Resolved

25 March 2022 I had applied for transfer of articleship on 25th February,2022. It was transferred to Regional Office for approval and on 16 March it has been transferred to Competent Authority for approval along with the message that it will take minimum of 10 days for any action to be taken.Due to some of my personal reasons I had to shift to another city and for that as a supporting document I had attached rental agreement also. Till now no action has been taken.Due to this i am unable to register myself in another firm and having delay also.

I have also contacted the help desk no many times but no reply has been received yet. kindly suggest me what should i do.

11 July 2024 It seems like you are facing a delay in the approval of your transfer of articleship despite submitting all necessary documents and following up with the help desk. Here are some steps you can take to expedite the process:

1. **Follow Up via Email:** Send a formal email to the Competent Authority (CA) or the Regional Office where your transfer application is pending. Attach all relevant documents again (such as your rental agreement) and politely request an update on the status of your application. Ensure your email is clear, concise, and includes your transfer application details for easy reference.

2. **Phone Follow Up:** Since you mentioned contacting the help desk with no reply, try calling again and if possible, try to speak directly with someone who can provide information on the status of your application. Sometimes, persistence in calling can help in getting attention to your case.

3. **Visit Regional Office (if feasible):** If feasible and safe considering current circumstances, consider visiting the Regional Office in person. Sometimes a face-to-face meeting can expedite the process as it demonstrates your seriousness and urgency.

4. **Contact ICAI Branch Office:** If the delay persists despite your efforts, consider contacting the nearest ICAI Branch Office. They may be able to provide guidance or escalate your issue internally within ICAI.

5. **Social Media Platforms:** Some professional organizations monitor their social media platforms for inquiries and complaints. Consider reaching out through platforms like Twitter or LinkedIn if other avenues are not fruitful.

6. **Legal Assistance:** If the delay continues for an extended period and is causing significant issues for you (such as inability to register in another firm), you may want to seek legal advice. A lawyer specializing in ICAI matters can provide guidance on your rights and potential actions to take.

Remember to maintain a professional and courteous tone in all communications, even if you are frustrated by the delay. Providing complete and accurate information along with persistence in following up are key strategies to getting your transfer application processed.
