14 June 2011 my grand mother died 3 years back

she wrote a will in which she nominated my father for the owner of shares

her shares
her will which state my father is owner of the share or whatever.

how can we sell or transfer the shares
or where we to request for that

14 June 2011 If the shares are being traded in demat form, which i believe is the case, you need to go to the DP (Depository participant) of either CDSL or NSDL for transmission of shares in your fathers name. They will then send the shares alongwith the requisite documents sought from you to the Co. or its Registrar for necessary action.

You better go to the DP, they will guide you in this regard.

You may consult with a good share sub-broker also which can easily be found in any business area. You may know the addresses through Internet also.

They also provide share transfer services against nominal charges and also have forms for opening a Demat a/c.
