sir/mam plz explain the clause 6 of transportation of the section 194 C with example as i m facing a confusion whether to deduct tax on transport business or not.

No TDS to be deducted on persons owning up to 10 trucks and furnishing a declaration and PAN No.
For others TDS applicable.
For others TDS applicable.

If the transporter is owning not more than 10 goods transport vehicle, then no need to deduct TDS provided he provides PAN and declaration. Details are required to be furnished in the TDS return.
