26 March 2008 CAN U PLZ GUIDE ME, IS TDS SHOULD BE DEDUCTED ON ENTIRE BILL INCLUDING SERVICE TAX.IF IT IS POSSIBEL THEN SUPPORT UR REPLY WITH ANY CIRCULAR\NOTIFICATION

26 March 2008 Service Tax and Income Tax are completely 2 different kinds of taxes. Both are independent. So, TDS is to be deducted on the amount inclusive of Service Tax,VAT,etc.,

26 March 2008 Tds is always deducted on inclusive amount.


26 March 2008 TDS ia always deducted on the amount billed which includes service tax as well. So TDS should be deducted on amount entire bill including service tax.

27 March 2008 There is specific circular where it is given that TDS to be deducted inclusive of Service Tax

27 March 2008 TDS IS REQD TO BE DEDUCTED INCLUSIVE OF SERVICE TAX

27 March 2008 YES. TDS IS LIABLE TO BE DEDUCTED ON BILL VALUE AFTER ADDING SERVICE TAX.
SUPPOSE THERE IS VAT ADDED TO BILL . THEN ADD VAT TO BILL AMOUNT AND ON THE TOTAL AMOUNT TDS NEEDS TO BE DEDUCTED.

27 March 2008 TDS is to be deducted on the basis of Payment or amount creditd whichever is earlier. And paid or credited amount will be inclusive of other taxes i.e. S.T., VAt etc.
