For an individual not eligible for audit u/s 44AB, is liable to deduct tds on interest payment?

Individual and HUF not required for audit u/s 44AB are not liable for deducting TDS.

If not covered under tax audit in the preceding financial year, then TDS provisions does not attract in current financial year vide proviso to section 194A(1).
